“Strategy should not only be measurable, but also tangible. Strategy realization is hard work, so if the path to the goal does not energize people and teams, the results will reflect that. The strategy should also be noticeable to customers or citizens, and they must never be lost sight of.”

Consultant Profile

For over 20 years, Mikkel has worked as a consultant across all types of organizations, from large global corporations and SMEs to various parts of the public sector in Denmark. He has contributed to creating changes in organizations through strategy realization, where both core business and corporate culture are transformed through the involvement of top management, managers, employees and external stakeholders. Additionally, Mikkel has designed and implemented management and talent development initiatives on both large and small scales in Denmark, India and China.

For Mikkel, it is crucial that vision and strategy are felt and not just measured. As co-author of the book Strength-Based Leadership, he is deeply engaged in how individuals can discover and develop their strengths by working towards an ambitious vision and strategy in an organisation that aims to make a positive impact on the world. Most companies and individuals have a heartfelt desire to make a positive difference, and the fundamental energy of strategy realization should contribute to unleashing that desire.

Mikkel holds a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in conflict resolution, and later became authorized by the Danish Psychological Board (Cand. Psych. Aut.). He has pursued further education in strategic management and process consulting. Throughout his career, he has worked as an external consultant. After a period as an independent consultant, he joined Resonans in 2006 and has been a partner since 2012.
